Shannon Kenny

Shannon is an actor, writer, theatre-maker and idealist from Durban on South Africa's sub-tropical east coast. She has a strained relationship with social media and prefers in-person conversations. From her hilltop perch she has a view of the Indian Ocean that ushered her ancestors from East Africa, South Asia and Western Europe to the shores of South Africa. Some of her poetry and prose can be found in Ake Review, Rainbow Punch and Mythic Picnic. Shannon delights in tutoring her drama students at the International School of Performing Arts Durban - and in the laughter of her family.
