The University of Canberra, Australia, has announced the Ghanaian writer, Kabu Okai-Davies, winner of its 2015 Alumni Excellence Award (Arts and Design). Okai-Davies is among the twenty alumni to be honoured by the school this year for their contributions in various fields.
The poet, playwright, novelist and former Organising Secretary of Ghana Association of Writers holds four different degrees from Canberra including a Master’s in Creative Writing and a PhD in Communications. Okai-Davies’ most recent work is a memoir entitled Curfew’s Children. A regular contributor to this website, he is currently a Visiting Fellow in Writing at the Research School of Humanities and the Arts at Australian National University.
