RAPTURE

An unknown time,
the unseen hour of
our journey,
calling the radar of our
life to the judgements
of seconds.

letters to the heart of
men with the seal of
heaven:
‘repent for the kingdom
of God is at hand,
calling the attention of
believers to the golden
table of paradise.

a day confidence is
exhibited in ignorance
at the blind morality of
innocence.

accounts and testimony
of events your soul
witnessed beneath the feet
of the dust.

Garment closed at the sun
of the day,
garment open in the moon
of the night,
unveiled at the beautiful
ray in the eternal light
of the supreme.

yesterday cast, today
journey, last night
material at the
mysterious tune burning
the earth under the
calamity and siege of
terror.

Moving from the life of
uncertainty to the realm
of divinity,
burning in the shades
forever in dust and
groaning.

sitting at the right hand
of the supreme,
the choices that judge
the race of humanity
to the world of
eternity.

THE STREET

Flaunting beneath the steam
of the sun,
the flow in the art of
movement:
painting the shades of
struggle to feed,
running sweats for crumbs
in the moist of their lips.

Complexity in the face of
the unknown,
riddle of decision at the
toss and dice of risk;
clustered beneath the tale
of trick and deceit,
blooming comfort weaved
at the tantrum of noise.

Walking upon thorns for
power and fame,
wandering in the air of
attention;
swinging the clumsy tone
of ignorance,
voice of violence at the
music of peace.

Celebrating comfort at the
folly of vices and corruption.
Gathering to waste, bury
time to no remorse.

  1. the lucidity with wish the poem captures the hustle and bustle of street life is challenging. ‘The street’ gives a rather clear picture of the unfreedom that characterizes our daily life as we all are tied to the rules of survival
